On a traditional business website, the ABOUT page is typically details about the business offering. Because my website is mixture of business and personal topics, I've chosen to do my About Page a bit differently...
One last note...the powerful Twist! technology I've created and employee presents the content each time the ABOUT Page renders, differently. There are many reasons for this. Colors and fonts change, and the order of the sections change as well. Please make a General Inquiry in the Take Action section if you'd like to know more.
I hope this makes sense! Have a great day!
MarkI regularly encounter women (and sometimes, their children) that are in some level of distress. I'm extremly grateful to have them feel comfortable enough to reach out for help, or accept it if I can see the need first. I am even more grateful to have some means to assist them.
The personal connection to their lives is humbling. Doing small things that bring a smile or provide food or shelter has been a high point of my life. I know that I am seeing only a small amount of the need that exists. I mention this in my About Page, with the hopes of encouraging other men to appropriately engage women in need.
Our society continues to have significant obstacles to women succeeding. The cumulative effect of these obstacles is life long. I try to remind myself that while I can fix society as a whole, I can make difference in the life of one woman. I hope my male website visitors (male and female), work a little harder to see the need I am describing. It's everywhere!
Living in the United States is a tremendous blessing. The opportunity for most everyone to succeed if they want to pursue their dreams is great! There are however, situations where people that are otherwise ready and able to strive for success, are temporarily disenfranchised. They may not currently have access to things that most of us consider to be basic necessities. A shower, a pair of clean and warm clothes, reading glasses, a mobile phone, connection to the internet, and a bank account. Looking for a job, getting to a meeting or other things we can all take for granted become very difficult, if not impossible. Their progress is slowed or stopped.
Regardless of how much they want to succeed, their lack of access to the most basic things is frustrating at best, and disabling at the worst. It's my pleasure to sometimes see their circumstance and to offer a conference room, a pre-paid mobile hone, a shower, etc. I am reminded how fortunate I am to have access to "the little things" that we often take for granted.
Dogs have always been very special to me. I don't think I'm alone in that feeling at all.
But I will say that to me, dogs are NOT just "another pet." I think they have a special place in the order of human relationships. And because of my Longevity focus, I am very curious about how dogs relate to people in both obvious, and not-so-obvious ways.
I'll go far as to say that for 90% of the people on the Planet, matching the person with the correct dog will measurably extend their lifespan! Yes, that's pretty bold statement. I'll back it up later with quite a bit of supporting data.
Let's just say that for now, doggos are on my "most important list." While individual people can be very challenging, dogs are almost always a blessing and the sweetest and most amazing creatures. I love them ALL!
I've been imagining, designing, building and supporting technology solutions since 1979. I've done so many projects (with companies small and huge) that technology some how works its way into everything I do.
Most of what I personally work on, no longer involves me having a technology output for clients. I'm still deeply involved in solutions that power the startups and scaleups I'm invested in and expect that I always will.
My client base has a high % of startups and scaleups. I enjoy working with them, and I have several credentials that allow me to quickly and cost-effectively help them.
Interestingly enough, I find that many of my mid-market and enterprise clients benefit from my startup / scale-up acumen. Sometimes I'm hired specificly to treat enterprise initiatives as if they were startups. How fun!
