- Am I affordable?
If you're reading this, there's a greater than 90% likelihood that you were referred to me. People don't typically refer vendors that aren't worth every dollar they paid.
I've built my business so that paying my invoice is an easy check for you to write...why? Because my business is built on referral and you need to be happy for you to refer me.
- Do I accept equity as sole payment?
I provide approximately four (4) hours of free service to startups per week, on a first-come, first-served basis. I also provide numerous online group learning experiences at no cost. Other than these pro-bono services, the answer is generally "no" to payment by equity in lieu of cash.
I will sometimes provide services at a material discount, or defer payment for a long period of time as debt against the company. I may require a personal guarantee.
I also occasionally make exceptions for non-profits, startups with products that have a strong social good component, and hardship cases. I'm happy to have a call with you if this is of interest. Please make sure to have written materials about your business and details ready as I'll need them to consider your request.
- Do I guarantee my services?
Short answer, yes! Your satisfaction is very important to me. There are details of course and we can talk about them when we speak.
- Do I have employees or a team?
My business is mostly virtual (remote service) and I serve clients in many locations. I do not have employees at this time, as they do not complement my business model.
I work with a team of amazingly qualified professionals. They are experts in many industries and professions. They are located around the globe and I call on them to help me help you.
- How do I bill for services?
Whenever possible, I like to bill using a flat fee for an entire project or a stage of a project. There are some situations where I bill hourly, or we come up with other methods for exchanging value. For new clients there is almost always a deposit against the estimated project costs that is due at the time work begins.
- How do I create value?
I bring more than four decades of work experience, amazing skills and a superb business network to our first meeting. I make your life as a leader easier, happier, and more understandable. I bring insights, resources and new ways of looking at things that liberate you to do your best work. I solve problems that vex you and help you deal with existential threats. YOU + ME = THREE (tm)
- What makes me so unique?
I'm the ultimate connector and problem-solver.
I have diverse experience and a skill set that is ideal for our turbulent times...you won't find it anywhere else. I offer you the busy executive, a comprehensive resource to address business challenges and take advantage of opportunity.
Think of me like a business solution search engine coupled with a expert project leader. When you decide to take action, I'm ready to make it happen. Call, text or email me and I respond...fast! Usually immediately or in a few minutes.
If I don't know the answer, I probably already know someone who does. If that's not the case, I'll find someone who does and I'll deliver them to you.
- Which geographies do I serve?
Most of my clients are currently located in the Western United States. I have some clients on the Eastern Seaboard, and a few international clients. I reside in more than one state. Remote technology makes serving any business virtually relatively easy. If you require onsite service, I'll be happy to come to work with you anywhere in the continental United States.
- Why do I offer so many solutions?
Your business world is getting more complex and moves faster everyday. My clients don't want a hundred different consultants for a hundred different problems. They want someone like me on speed dial.
Some say I'm a generalist because I offer so many different solutions. I say I'm a specialist at helping busy executives solve complex problems at critical times, when resources are tight and the risks are high.
And I love to learn, love to innovate, love to find new ways of looking at the world.
- Why Visionary, Advisor AND Project Leader?
Why Visionary? Hyperchange is causing our world to speed up! I will view the past, present and future of your business and industry and see it with fresh eyes, then give the best advice possible. Being a Visionary makes me a better Advisor.
Why Advisor? If we stop after I help you see your possible business futures, it will be frustrating for you (and unfulfilling for me). By translating your and my vision into an actionable plan, my value proposition is stronger. Being an Advisor makes me a better Project Leader.
Why Project Leader? Projects are how things get done! You don't need my vision or my advice if it just results in a good idea that gets written down and is never acted upon. And being a Project Leader makes me a better visionary. Projects are real and reality guides my future visionary research.
